Chapter 9 Janice stared at her crochet desk, which had collapsed on the floor.

She sent Simon a text. Then, she put her desk back in place and continued fixing her crochet design.

After getting home, Simon hadn't checked his phone. He did so deliberately as he was waiting for Janice to call him with her apology.
