Aaron took a sip of wine from his glass, savoring the rich taste before speaking, "Why are you so sure it isn't because of Serena?"

"Because you should be the happiest now that Serena's gone," Frederick replied. Much like Aaron, he had striking features, but while Aaron's were sharp and imposing, Frederick's were softer and more approachable. His tone was matter- of-fact. "Weren't you always the one who found Serena annoying?"
