Chapter 272

Serena couldn't be bothered to argue with Cynthia Lynwood about the kidney transplant.

Aaron was always so protective of Cynthia-no matter what truth came out, she knew he'd just let Cynthia walk away scot-free in the end.

But the murders... that was a different story.

Serena's eyes narrowed, and a cold smile played at her lips. "If you had nothing to do with the transplant," she said quietly, "then why did you have Dr. Owens and those bodyguards killed?"

Cynthia's face twisted in outrage. "What are you even talking about? When have I ever killed anyone? Serena, don't you dare pin your mess on me. That's way out of line."

Serena stared at her, brow furrowing in frustration.

She'd always been convinced Cynthia was the one who'd silenced Dr. Owens and the others. But, looking at Cynthia's expression now, she didn't seem to be lying.

Could it be... it really wasn't Cynthia?

If it wasn't her, then it had to be Aaron.

But Aaron hadn't seemed like he knew anything at the time.
