Now, noticing there was company, he reined in his scowl and forced a smile. "It's nothing, come in, Serena. Have a seat."

Elaine was already beside herself with worry. Hearing Serena press the issue, she quickly chimed in, "Just tell her, Gallagher. Serena's practically family."

Gallagher let out a weary sigh. "Well, I'm not even sure what Gabrielle did to get on Aaron's bad side. He just called me, told me to keep my daughter in line or else "

But Serena understood immediately.
