Joyce stared anxiously at him while standing next to the bed.
“Why did you want me to stay in the hospital, Mr. Quinn? The doctor only let me stay so I could recover better and safely give birth in the future. You—”
“What are you trying to say?” Stanley asked with a frown while looking up at her.
Joyce took a deep breath as she continued, “You never wanted me to give birth to this baby, right? You don't like him, so why would you want me to stay in the hospital? Doing so would only ensure the baby's safety.”
