Out of defense, Alyssa wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her head into his chest. Her mind went blank for a few seconds before she realized what was happening.

“Justin!” She screamed at the top of her lungs. A few pedestrians had glanced her way, but as soon as they saw the man holding her, they quickly looked away.

Alyssa struggled to get down from his arms, “Put me down!”

Ignoring her frustration, Emmett held her even tighter in his arms and put her on the passenger seat. No matter how many times she kicked her legs up in the air or pounded his chest with her fists, he still didn’t back down as he closed the door beside her. “Don’t move.”
