The glimmer of smile deepened in Henry’s eyes. "Tell me your phone number."

Alyssa gave her phone number to Henry.

After Henry saved the number into his phone, he said, "Are you going back now? Shall I send you back?"

Of course Alyssa would not let him send her home.

"It's not troublesome. I can go back by myself."

Henry did not force her. "Goodbye, then."

After seeing Henry drove away, Alyssa took a taxi home.

After taking a shower, she got a call from Amelia.

Amelia asked as soon as Alyssa answered the phone, "Did Boyce say anything after I left?"

"What do you want him to say?" Alyssa rarely had the chance to tease Amelia.

Actually, she could tell that Amelia liked Boyce.

However, she was quite surprised. Boyce seemed to have been born in the humble family. From his way of doing things, she could tell that he was a very reliable person. He was calm and stable man, but not dull.

It was easy for a woman to fall in love with such a man.

Amelia looked very anxious. "Hurry up and tell me what he said!"

Alyssa advised her, "If you want to know, why don't you go and ask him yourself?"

"Sigh, it's a long story." Amelia sighed and said.

In the end, Alyssa still honestly said, "He asked me what we talked about. But I asked him to go to you. Are you happy with that?"

That head was silent for a moment. After a while, Amelia's voice came faintly. "I think he might not come to find me."

Amelia and Alyssa talked for a while, then hung up the phone.

Henry had previously said that he would look for Alyssa to help him.

But in the end, Alyssa found out that Henry wanted her to accompany him to a cocktail party.

As soon as Alyssa heard it, she immediately refused, "Find someone else. I can't help you with this."

Emmett had previously told her not to meet Henry.

It was impossible not to drive Henry out of her sight, but she could refuse to attend the banquet with him.

Although the Grant family was not as powerful as the Lawrence family, they were still a famous family in Holston City. She did not want to get into any trouble after attending the banquet with Henry.

Henry seemed to have expected that she would refuse him on the first moment. So he said calmly, "You promised me earlier. You are not a person who goes back on his word."

"But I am going back on my word now." Alyssa's stance was firm.

Henry was silent for a moment. He stared at Alyssa for a while and said sarcastically, "Because of Emmett?"

Alyssa was stunned for a moment and did not say anything.

Everyone thought that she and Emmett had really separated, but Henry did not seem to think so.

Henry saw that she did not speak and did not mind. Instead, he leaned closer to her and said softly, "Alyssa, I know you better than anyone else. I know what you are thinking and what you want."

Alyssa was not used to men other than Emmett being so close to her. She stepped back, but Henry suddenly reached out and grabbed her wrist. "Emmett is not suitable for you. The Lawrence family is too complicated."

"What do you mean?" Alyssa narrowed her eyes and said, "When I went abroad, you said the same thing to me at the airport. You said that the Lawrence family is too complicated. How complicated it can be? How much do you know?”

Henry did not expect Alyssa would give him so many rhetoric questions. Her tone and eyes were both aggressive and sharp.

The smile at the corners of Henry’s mouth faded and his expression turned serious. "I will not hurt you. In the past, I may only want to use you like Skylar and the others, but I’m now doing everything for your own good."

Alyssa was more and more certain that Henry had known something. "What do you know about the Lawrence family? Tell me."

"Do you really want to know?"

Alyssa nodded.

Henry let go of her wrist. His expression was slightly cold. "You will accompany me to the banquet. I will tell you when it is over."

"You..." Alyssa looked at him in shock. This was clearly a threat to her.

Perhaps it was because Alyssa's eyes were too obvious that Henry could see through her thoughts.

"Alyssa, this is not a threat. I am a businessman and I do not do things that can’t bring me benefits. If you want me to tell you what I know, you have to pay something. I just want you to accompany me to a banquet as a female companion."

Henry's tone was very serious.

Alyssa thought about it and felt that what Henry said made sense.

She owed Henry a favor to begin with, and he had no obligation to tell her what he knew.

If he really knew something about the Lawrence family, it would be a very big secret.

Whether he wanted to tell her or not was also his freedom.

Alyssa thought it through and confirmed with him, "Just attending a dinner party? After attending the banquet, you will tell me the secret?"

Henry frowned slightly as if he was not happy, but he still nodded. "Yes."

The banquet that Henry was talking about was held at eight p.m. on a Friday night.

It was held in a seven-star hotel in Holston City.

The banquet that George had invited her to was also held here.

As soon as Alyssa got out of the car, she saw Henry in a white suit.

He stood at the door of the hotel and waited for Alyssa. He was already very handsome, and his white suit made him even more elegant.
