Emmett walked out of the private room and headed straight to the parking lot.

He saw the car he bought for Alyssa at first glance. He walked straight to Alyssa's car, opened the passenger seat and got in.

Alyssa was looking at something on her phone. She did not even look up when she heard the noise. "You're here."

Emmett leaned over slightly and said. "Are you angry?"

Alyssa put away her phone and turned to look at him. She said indifferently, "No."

Emmett naturally did not believe her. He seemed to be explaining but also sounded very casual, "Kathleen called me when I got off work and said that George went to my apartment to look for me. If I do not want to go back, I will have dinner with her."

He had already gotten off work so early. If he did not go back, it would still arouse George's suspicion. It was better to go along with the flow and eat with Kathleen. It could be considered as not being able to catch George's weakness.

Kathleen lied to Emmett that it was to eat, but she introduced her good friend to Emmett.

Emmett was short tempered and unpredictable, but Alyssa did not need to worry about him suddenly falling in love with someone else.

Emmett was arrogant. He had a clear understanding of his own emotions when it came to love. He was a clean person who never had an ambiguous relationship with anyone.

Alyssa was not worried that he would suddenly turn around and tangle with other women.


She was angry because she could not contact him all night.

She did not believe that Emmett did not even have the time to call her.

Angela's matter had already exhausted her heart and soul. She could not imagine what would happen to her if something went wrong with Emmett.

The car was quiet for a moment. Emmett suddenly laughed in a low voice.

Alyssa looked at him unhappily. "What are you laughing at?"

"Are you jealous?" Emmett put one hand on the back of the chair behind her and the other on the windshield. It looked like he had wrapped her in his arms.

When Alyssa entered the room, her mood was a little complicated for a while. But after she came out, she did not think too much. She was more angry that he did not pick up her phone all night.

"How come you did not pick up my phone all night? Was it because you wanted me to come over and see you drinking with other women? You just wanted to see me jealous?"

Alyssa reached out and grabbed her hair. Her tone was a little helpless. "Don't you think you are very childish?"

As soon as she finished speaking, she felt that the atmosphere in the car was not right. It seemed that even the temperature had dropped.

Emmett's voice was low and deep. "Alyssa, you dare to call me childish?"

Alyssa exhaled and looked up at him. "Do you know how worried I was that I could not contact you all night?"

There was no light on in the car. There were only dim streetlights shining in through the window. They could vaguely see each other's faces.

Emmett sneered. "After you returned to Holston City, you either ran to the production crew or focused on investigating those things. Do you still remember that you are my, Emmett Lawrence's, woman?"

Alyssa was stunned for a moment, "What do you mean?"

Ever since Angela disappeared and the two of them separated after returning to Holston City, Alyssa's mind had been completely focused on work and the secrets of Lawrence family.

Every time she looked for him, it was because she had something to do, but never because she missed him.

This made Emmett feel that he no longer held any position in Alyssa's heart.

He also admitted that his actions tonight were a little childish, but he only wanted her to look at him more and let her know that other than Angela, she still had him.

"Think about it yourself." After saying that, Emmett opened the car door and was about to get out.

Alyssa thought about how she had gotten Dylan's hair today and quickly got out of the car to chase after him.

Emmett walked very quickly out of anger. Alyssa could only run in order to caught up with him.

Alyssa grabbed his arm and looked around while panting. "I got Dylan's hair. I'll give it to you. Find an opportunity to get your father's hair. When the time comes, make a DNA comparison."

As she spoke, she took out Dylan's hair, which she had sealed in a small plastic bag, and handed it to Emmett.
