Yvonne suddenly fell silent. Geoffrey raised his hand and patted her on the shoulder. "Vonnie, you wouldn't want to see your brother get hurt, would you?"

"But what if my brother is destined to get hurt? What should be done if he ultimately finds out that Rose is someone he cannot love, and that he can't acknowledge her child as his own? What, then?"
