My heart was in shambles and Damon wasn’t making it any better

I glared at him but said nothing as Delilah sat down on the bed next to me. The doctor had warned me not to stress my vocal cords because it hadn’t healed properly.

I visibly shivered as I remembered how horrible that night was. At least I was grateful to Damon for coming at the right time before that man could kill me even though if I had picked up when I called him earlier, none of this would have happened and I would still be pregnant.
