After Delilah and I got home, I immediately went up to my room, had my bath and changed into my night gown then laid down the bed as I waited for Damon.

Just then, my phone dinged on the nightstand, Indicating I had gotten a message.

I immediately rushed towards it, knowing it was Damon. I never used this phone, only when Damon was away did I keep it close.

Just as I thought, it was Damon. I frowned as I read the text before letting out a huff.

[I’m sorry baby, I’ll be back later today. Don’t wait up for me and get some sleep. I’ll make it up to you, I promise] The message read but that night, Damon didn’t come back and I fell asleep while waiting for him.

I moved closer and furrowed my eyebrows as I stared out the window and at the men and women training. What was going on? Did an attack happen?

Just then, I heard a knock on the door before Delilah walked in.
