After Delilah and I got home, I immediately went up to my room, had my bath and changed into my night gown then laid down the bed as I waited for Damon.

Just then, my phone dinged on the nightstand, Indicating I had gotten a message.

I immediately rushed towards it, knowing it was Damon. I never used this phone, only when Damon was away did I keep it close.

Just as I thought, it was Damon. I frowned as I read the text before letting out a huff.

I woke up the next morning and frowned when I didn’t see Damon beside me or catch his scent that would indicate that he did come back last night.

I immediately stood up from the bed, grabbed my phone and dialed his number as I paced the room but he didn’t pick up. Damon always picks up. “What is going on?” I muttered to myself and paused when I glanced out of the window and saw how rowdy it was.

I moved closer and furrowed my eyebrows as I stared out the window and at the men and women training. What was going on? Did an attack happen?

Just then, I heard a knock on the door before Delilah walked in.
