She never expected Nyx not to know what it was and to open it in public. Felix and Theon uncomfortably shifted their stances, subtly watching Nyx. When they saw Nyx accept the perfume, both males tensed up.

Nyx simply didn’t want to continue the awkward situation with Astraea, so she accepted the gift to put her at ease. The surrounding females couldn’t wait any longer and pushed Astraea aside.

The females were all crowding around Nyx, eager for handkerchiefs. They thought Nyx had a custom shop, never imagining she made them herself.

Nyx could hardly stand the noise in her ears, her head spinning. She kept nodding. “Okay, okay, just give me some time.”

After promising to give each of them a handkerchief, Nyx quickly placed an order for fabric and thread on StarNet that night.

Designing the patterns wasn’t difficult for her, and within a couple of days, she had created unique floral designs for each female. But hand–stitching the handkerchiefs would take a bit longer.

She was careful not to let her guardians catch her. If they found out, they would never allow her to handle needles herself. To the males, it seemed far too dangerous.
