A group of subordinates rushed in, their faces pale with alarm. “Richa, we’re under attack!”

Richa didn’t need them to say it–he could already feel the tremors from the impact.

His eyes widened in shock. “The Imperial Army?”

His subordinate shook his head vigorously. “No, it’s not the Imperial Army.”

Just as Richa felt a hint of relief, the next words made his blood run cold. “It’s Jaws‘ subordinate, Black Mamba.”

That name Black Mamba sent a chill through the entire room. Jaws was even more ruthless and terrifying than the Imperial Army–true nightmares.

Richa sucked in a sharp breath, his face turning deathly pale.

Just as she struggled to lift herself up, the ship jolted once more, making her stumble and fall forward.

Suddenly, a pair of strong, steady arms caught her, wrapping tightly around her waist.

Nyx panicked. She struggled to push away, attempting to unleash her psychic suppression again, but then a somewhat familiar voice reached her ears. “Don’t be afraid.”

Nyx froze. Only then did she realize that the person holding her was being extremely careful, as if he had no intention of harming her.
