“Chubby?” Nyx had witnessed the entire transformation with her own eyes. She immediately jumped up and caught him before he could plop onto the floor.

A newly transformed baby hadn’t learned how to control his limbs yet. Wobbling unsteadily, he lost his balance and fell into Nyx’s arms.

“Mama,” Chubby whimpered, terrified. “Little brothers…”

“He’s fine.” Theon crouched down and placed the two perfectly intact eggs before him to reassure him.

Chubby let out a relieved sigh, reaching out to pat them. Then, in a serious tone, he scolded them, “You can’t do that again. That was very naughty!”

He looked about a year old, all chubby and round, his cheeks like puffy little sandwiches.

He could barely stand on his own, yet here he was, lecturing his younger siblings with a straight face–it was unbearably cute in Nyx’s eyes.
