I wasn’t ease at all when I watched the car leaving. Sam was our family’s most trusted guy. He guarded Sloane as well through her childhood. No one could touch her. He knew why Alice was here, but still I asked him to take care of her. Sam was so confused, but he understood me when I told him it’s not the time yet.

I went back to the house. Gemma was still there, I hoped that was the last day she wanted to spend here, as it was even harder to stand her behavior. And that wasn’t my only problem with her. I seriously worried that she would provoke Alice again, and I wouldn’t be able to hold myself back from defending her. That would ruin everything. I couldn’t let that happen.
