Chapter 73 That Old Man

Emily clasped her hands.

A few days ago, she was exacerbated to learn that Betty had married Kerwin. A hasty plan was then drawn up.

She was confident in her plan. Once the banquet was over, the servant she had bribed would resign and leave under her arrangement. There was no way it would be exposed.

She had underestimated the power of the Martin family. Their investigation was much more efficient than she thought, and her

plan was exposed on the same night.

She hadn‘t even thought about how to explain the source of the photos.

She was flustered by Jeffrey‘s question.

The photos Jeffrey received two years ago and this time were all from her.

She was the mastermind behind the scheme. The pinhole camera in the hotel was also set

up by her.

She should never let Jeffrey know.

She managed to calm down as soon as she could and came up with an idea.

With feigned fear, she said, “Jeffrey, can you not blame me if I tell you how I got the photos.”

Jeffrey narrowed his eyes and said, “Tell me the answer first.”

Emily shunned his gaze and said in a lower voice, “Actually... I snooped on your phone.”

Jeffrey, who was staring at Emily with angry and wary eyes, stiffened at the answer.

“You snooped on my phone?”

“Yeah,” as if it took her a lot of courage, Emily whispered. “remember that Japanese restaurant we dined at the other day? You were acting weird, and I suspected that you had an affair. I was worried and snooped on your phone. There was an anonymous email in the mailbox. I checked it... I didn‘t expect
