"Look, I don't know what your real relationship is with His Highness, but you can't be making mistakes like this when healing someone," Cillian said sharply, glaring at Fiona. His arms were crossed, his posture was tense, clearly frustrated.

Fiona stared at him, surprised by the sudden outburst. "I didn't make a mistake," she replied firmly, her voice calm. Until now, she couldn't quite understand why Cillian had just started to berate her in front of everyone. If he wanted to discuss something, wouldn't it be more professional for him to pull her aside? Instead, he actually chose to do it in front of the soldiers and the other healers! "I did exactly what was needed., Fiona said.

Cillian scoffed, shaking his head. "You used too much of the wolfsbane extract. That amount could have slowed the healing process, not speed it up. If you had waited for me, we could've discussed the dosage properly."

Fiona clenched her fists, her patience wearing thin. "I used the exact amount required. The wound was deeper than you realized, and the usual dose wouldn't have been enough. I know what I'm doing."

Cillian took a step closer, his eyes narrowing. "You're too reckless, Fiona. Just because you've got the Prince backing you doesn't mean you can cut corners. You're lucky that patient didn't get worse."

"Reckless? I saved that patient's life! If I had waited for you, they would have bled out. My method worked, and you know it." Fiona felt her anger rising but quickly pushed it down. She cannot lose her cool now. No. Not today. Cillian's jaw tightened."It's not just about whether it worked this time. It's about doing things by the book. You can't just make judgment calls without consulting your partner."

Fiona took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. This was only her second shift, and she was already having problems with Cillian. In fact, she didn't know where this animosity came from however, she had noticed it the moment she walked into the infirmary. Luckily for her, both of them had been busy since their shift started because of some accident on the training ground.

"Both of you should stop arguing. We need more hands here," Kariana's voice interrupted them. Cillian quickly snorted and turned away. Seeing this, Fiona sighed before she approached the nearest soldier who needed her help.

Fiona knelt beside the soldier lying on the cot, his body tense with pain. His arm was severely burned, the skin blistered and raw. The explosion on the training ground had clearly been worse than expected, and the new weapons they were testing seemed far more dangerous than anyone had anticipated. The stench of burnt flesh filled the room, mingling with the coppery scent of blood.
