Stella froze for a brief second, but quickly collected herself. A storm of hatred and disgust boiled in her eyes. “Rosaline, you murderer! How dare you show up here?!”

The reporters, sensing the tension, whipped their cameras around to catch every moment. They were eager to capture every detail, not wanting to miss a single word. They clearly hadn’t expected me, the so–called “killer,” to make an appearance.

But my arrival only made things more dramatic. It was exactly what the reporters wanted–a heated confrontation between us would turn this into an even bigger spectacle, stirring up views and buzz for their broadcast.

One of the reporters, practically bouncing with anticipation, quickly asked, “Ms. Sinclair, both Ms. Dixon and Ms. Holbrook have just described the incident at Lover’s Lake, each accusing you of pushing Ms. Dixon into the water. What’s your response to that?”

I let out a light laugh. “Queenie, did you really see me push Stella into the water?”

“Of course I did. My classmates and I saw it happen,” Queenie replied without hesitation, her voice unwavering.

“Is that so?” I smirked, turning my gaze toward Stella. “Well, Stella, what about you? Are you absolutely certain it was me who pushed you into the water?”

“Of course! You’re a vicious person–you wanted me dead! How could I have mistaken it? Even if I were blind, I’d still recognize you. You were the one who pushed me!” Stella snapped, her face twisted with fury and her eyes blazing with hatred.

“Well then, Stella,” I said, my voice laced with icy calm, “since you’re so sure I tried to kill you, I have to ask- you’re still alive, aren’t you? Who pulled you out of the water?”

Stella froze, her eyes flashing with frustration. “I–I passed out! I wasn’t conscious! How could I know?”
