Chapter 128 Press Conference

At precisely two o’clock, the press conference began, sharp and punctual.

The room buzzed with electric anticipation. Reporters, cameras poised, maneuvered for the best angles, each of them eager not to miss a single moment of the unfolding story.

I stood off to the side, my eyes never leaving the man at the center of it all–Caden. His presence was magnetic, commanding the space around him as if he had the power to observe everything from his lofty position.

When the chatter died down and the room fell into silence, all attention turned to him. Caden stood, clearing his throat before speaking in a voice that was calm, yet undeniably authoritative. “Welcome to the Eclipse Group press conference,” he said.

He let the words linger in the air, allowing them to settle. “Today, we will be addressing the recent Ice and Fire incident and providing an important update.”

His gaze swept across the room, meeting the eyes of the reporters. “As most of you are aware, several cases of poisoning have been traced back to our Ice and Fire jewelry. Eclipse Group takes this matter with the utmost seriousness. After an extensive investigation, we discovered that the affected items came from our Fostrau factory. However, the jewelry produced at our headquarters is completely safe. This is supported by the official report we’ve received.”

Caden shifted his gaze toward Yale, who immediately stepped forward, presenting the report for the room to see. “This is the official testing report from a certified agency,” Yale announced. “It confirms that the products manufactured at our main facility are of the highest quality and meet all safety standards. You can trust in them.”

A reporter, his curiosity piqued, raised his hand and asked, “Mr. Holbrook, now that the issue with the Fostrau factory has been confirmed, how do you plan to address it?”

Caden’s voice grew sharper, filled with resolve. “We’ve already recalled every affected item and safely disposed of them. I will personally investigate the situation at the Fostrau factory to understand what went wrong. There will be no leniency given to the ones responsible for this matter.”

He paused, his eyes narrowing as he locked his gaze on the camera. His expression hardened. “Eclipse Group has already reached out to the affected customers and agreed upon compensation. I offer my sincerest apologies to those affected.”

The room erupted in applause, the reporters showing their approval of his quick and decisive leadership.

But the questions kept coming. “Mr. Holbrook, can you explain what happened at the Fostrau factory?”
