Dr. Bert Williamson, the director of the cardiology department, had just completed a thorough check–up on Grandpa and stepped out of the patient’s room.

I walked up to him and inquired about the situation. With a serious expression, he responded, “Mr. Richard has had a heart problem, but medication has kept it under control. However, tonight’s severe shock triggered a sudden heart attack, and he requires immediate surgery.”

Fixing my gaze on him, I spoke in an icy tone, “Make sure that the Alpha of the Eclipse Pack survives!”

Feeling the weight of my presence, Bert visibly tensed before nodding quickly. “Mr. Holbrook, I will do my best!”

The medical team wheeled Grandpa into surgery while I remained motionless outside the operating room.

Scenes replayed in my mind–the cold announcement from Rosaline, canceling the engagement, and the moment Grandpa collapsed from his heart attack.

I had anticipated this day for so long. It was meant to be the happiest moment of my life. Why did it turn into a nightmare instead?

“Mr. Holbrook, Mr. Richard will pull through,” Yale reassured me from behind.

I ignored him, my eyes fixed on the operating room doors.

Just then, my mother arrived, rushing toward me with Queenie at her side. “Caden, how is your grandpa?” she asked anxiously.

“Under emergency treatment,” I answered flatly.

“Caden, don’t worry. Grandpa is strong. He will get through this,” Queenie murmured, gently holding my arm in comfort.

I shot her a cold look and pulled away from her grasp.

With a hesitant voice, Queenie continued, “Caden, this happened because of Rosaline!”

“Enough!” I snapped impatiently.
