I still couldn’t figure out why Rosaline remained so confident, but after the waiters finished the drinks, they looked fine, without any signs of anything unusual.

A smirk tugged at my lips. “Everyone saw that–the drinks are perfectly safe. Rosaline, what excuse do you have now? Just admit it already and stop dragging innocent people into this!”

I paused for a moment before softening my tone and saying to the two werewolf waiters, “This has nothing to do with you anymore. Go back to work. I’ll talk to your boss and make sure they know you had no part in this. You won’t lose your jobs over it.”

The reporters captured the whole scene, from the way I reassured them to the generosity in my voice.
