The werewolf officer quickly completed the scan, then turned to the crowd and announced in an indifferent tone, “The substance found under her nails is an exact match to the drug detected in Ms. Sinclair and Mr. Sullivan’s blood.”

All eyes in the room turned to Lilian.

Her face turned ashen as she slumped to the floor.

“Ms. White, you’ll need to come with us to the station,” the werewolf officer said as he stepped forward and took away Lilian, who was filled with despair.

She had it coming.

I had already guessed that Wendy, determined to frame me, would have instructed Lilian to handle it personally.

I instinctively grabbed onto Anthony for support.

Seeing my pale face, he steadied me, concern flickering in his eyes. “Are you okay?”
