After work, I couldn’t stop worrying about Richard’s condition, so I headed straight to the hospital.

As soon as I entered his room, I saw Bert and a few other doctors running tests on him.

“Bert, how is Alpha doing?” I asked, walking up to them with concern.

Bert smiled when he saw me. “Ms. Sinclair, you’re just in time. We just finished checking Alpha. There’s nothing serious; you can take a look yourself.”

“Thank you.” I nodded in acknowledgment.

I approached Richard and carefully examined him. His health still hadn’t fully recovered, so we couldn’t proceed with the final healing treatment just yet.

“Alright, make sure to check Alpha’s vitals every three hours from now on. If anything unusual happens, notify me immediately,” I instructed Bert, who was standing nearby.

“Understood, Ms. Sinclair,” Bert replied quickly.

“Alright, I’ll be on my way,” I said, heading toward the exit.

It was already dark outside.

Before I knew it, the rain came pouring down.

I was instantly drenched since I hadn’t brought an umbrella.

“What kind of weather is this?” I scowled.

Hurrying to my car, I started driving home, planning to change into dry clothes.

The last time I got caught in the rain, I ended up with a cold. While it wasn’t severe, I hated being drenched.

Gripping the steering wheel tightly, I sped along the road.

When I hit a red light, I instinctively pressed the brake.
