Chapter 343 Candice’s Disappearance

Finished

I froze for a moment at this, furrowing my brow. “Disappeared? Did she simply vanish without a trace?”

As soon as I finished speaking, I saw Anthony shrug his shoulders. “She did, I can’t find her,” he replied simply.

I stared at him in silence, unsure of what to say.

After a few seconds, I finally broke the silence. “She didn’t return to the Phantom Pack?”

“No,” Anthony replied. His expression grew thoughtful. “This is what’s so strange. The Phantom Pack sent many werewolf warriors to search for Candice. Mr. Holbrook is looking for her; I’m looking for her, but there’s no sign of her anywhere.”

“She’s probably hiding out of guilt,” I muttered, flipping through the documents and photos in my hands.

I realized at this point that it wasn’t just hiding anymore.

In the entire city of Rivemon, all the surveillance footage, including the blind spots, showed nothing. The last time Candice was caught on camera was three days ago, and after that–until Hugh’s incident–there was no sign of her at all.

“She hasn’t left the city. There are no records of her entering or leaving. The last place she was seen was at the nightclub under Hugh’s name, as though she never left.”

Anthony added, “The Phantom Pack’s werewolf warriors have gone to that nightclub several times, but they haven’t found Candice.”

“Forget about her,” I said, setting the documents aside.

I was sure that this madwoman was now hiding and biding her time. She wasn’t returning to the Phantom Pack, which meant she was likely waiting for the perfect moment to strike back at me.

If she were caught and brought back to the Phantom Pack, Cyrus would surely make sure she couldn’t escape again.

“She’ll show up when she thinks the time is right,” I said, lying back down and placing the documents on the side.
