Chapter 366 Corpse Thief

Fear consumed me after that

I knew with chilling certainty that the Alpha of the Eclipse Pack had figured out the truth. He knew I was the one who had poisoned him.

I couldn’t let Richard wake up–not with Rosaline talking about a way to save him.

So, I did it again. I poisoned him, this time hoping to being him closer to death. But I didn’t anticipate Rosaline stepping in to save him once more. Nor did I expect Aunt Eleanor to discover my hand in it.

By some twisted stroke of luck, Aunt Eleanor stood by me. She didn’t hesitate going even further- deciding that the Alpha had to die.

If he was gone, Rosaline would be out of the Eclipse Pack for good. Our positions would be secure.

But Donny had been the one pulling the strings all along. Quietly guiding me, aiding me in poisoning the Alpha. Now, though….

I clenched my fists. Donny thought he could betray me He was wrong.

If he wanted to play this game, I’d make sure he knew there were no second chances.

Once Mr. Richard was taken care of, I’d stand by Caden Together, we’d secure our claim over the Eclipse Pack. The power would be ours. And when the time came, Donny would regret crossing me.

The clock struck midnight.

The morgue

morgue was a tomb of silence.

Aunt Eleanor and I huddled behind a corner in the hallway, our gazes locked on the dark door ahead.

“Are we really doing this?” Aunt Eleanor asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Her fingers tightened around mine.

The stench of death hung heavy in the air. Above us, a flickering green sign read “Emergency Exit” cast an eerie glow. Behind that dark door, I knew, lay the bodies of werewolves–frozen, silent, forgotten.

Aunt Eleanor shuddered, the weight of her years of comfort and luxury crushing her now. She wasn’t made for this.
