Chapter 404 I’d Give My Life for Caden

Michael’s POV:

After wrapping up business matters, I made my way back to Wild Pack’s villa.

As dinner time arrived, Wendy was still nowhere to be seen.

Grandpa gave the butler a firm instruction, “Go upstairs and tell Wendy to come down for dinner.”

“Understood, sir,” the butler responded politely before heading upstairs.

Not long after, he returned with a concerned expression and reported, “Ms. Wendy’s door is locked from the inside. I knocked multiple times, but she didn’t answer. I’m not sure if she’s asleep.”

“It’s already so late–she shouldn’t still be asleep.” I massaged my temples, an inexplicable sense of unease creeping over me.

Since the night of the Wild Pack’s 50th–anniversary gala, Wendy had been dispirited and listless.

Today, I heard she had gone to see Caden on her own, and when she returned, she looked like she’d been left out in the cold.

It was obvious that Caden was the reason behind this.

I could already picture how indifferent he must have been toward Wendy.

Yet, that foolish girl still insisted on clinging to him.

Growing uneasy, I got up and made my way to Wendy’s room on the second floor.

“Wendy, what are you doing? Open the door!” I called out, knocking firmly against the door.

The room stayed eerily quiet, without a single reply.

A growing sense of dread crept over me, and I hurried to find the key, only to realize the door was bolted from within.
