I looked at Ryan, taking a deep breath as I calmed myself down. After a moment of thought, I tried to reason with him. “This is a huge deal. How could I not know? Yura is really upset right now. You should leave her alone.”

Ryan lowered his gaze, like he was gathering his courage. Then he looked up at me and said, “Rosie, the truth is, I’ve always liked Yu. That night, running into her at the bar was an accident. She looked so heartbroken, and I just wanted to keep her company and have a few drinks together. But I didn’t expect to get drunk and do something I shouldn’t have.”

The more he spoke, the more regret consumed him. He even started hitting his head in frustration. I couldn’t bear to watch, so I reached out and grabbed his hand.

Seeing that I was starting to waver, Ryan stepped closer looking me straight in the eyes with unwavering sincerity. “Rosie, I swear, I really love Yura. I love her so much I can’t even help myself. I want to protect her for the rest of my life. Please, help me.”

“Alright.” I sighed, finally giving in. There was too much sincerity in his gaze for me to refuse.

But I knew Yura’s personality well. Putting the future aside, she definitely wouldn’t want to see Ryan for the next few days.

Winning her over wouldn’t happen overnight.

After a brief moment of thought, I said, “Here’s what you should do. Go home for now. Don’t rush things, and definitely don’t bother Yura these next couple of days. Let her have some time to cool off.”
