Chapter 536 Confession

Jasper’s POV:

Time flew by, and the filming of The Call of the Wild was finally approaching its end. Naomi and I had developed great on–screen chemistry, but ever since Rosaline went abroad, she hadn’t been at the company or on set. Lately, I couldn’t help but get distracted because I miss her.

Today, we were shooting one of the final major scenes, which required the male lead to be suspended on wires. After getting strapped in, the rig slowly lifted me higher, carrying me up into the air.

Distracted by thoughts of Rosaline, I lost focus for a moment. My movements were off, and before I knew it, I slipped right off the wires. While everyone else was still processing what had happened, Naomi had already rushed forward, calling out, “Jasper!”

The director quickly ordered someone to bring a crash mat, but they were a step too late. At the last second, Naomi reached out and caught me as I fell, using half her body to catch me as I fell.

She winced in pain, her brows tightly furrowed. The moment I came to my senses, I quickly got up from the crash mat, looking at her with worry and guilt.

Naomi’s forehead was covered in sweat, and she was in so much pain that she couldn’t even move. The crew rushed over to check on her, and when the ambulance arrived, they helped the paramedics lift her onto a stretcher and take her to the hospital for examination and treatment. I couldn’t help but feel frustrated with myself, but because I was worried about Naomi’s injuries, I went to the hospital with her.

The ambulance arrived at the hospital, where the werewolf doctor examined Naomi’s injuries and scolded, “How could you be so careless? You have a moderate bone fracture–it’ll take at least three to five months before you can even start moving properly. Even after that, you’ll need complete rest with no heavy lifting. Young people these days… Tsk… I’ll have the nurse apply bandages and a cast. You should stay in the hospital for a few days for observation.”

Naomi was momentarily taken aback before smiling faintly. “It was my own fault. I hurt my arm while filming. I’ll follow your advice, but how long will I need to stay in the hospital? I still have a few scenes left to shoot … ”
