Amelia was the closest match Michael could find to me.

Her eyes burned with anger as she stood with a few indifferent associates behind her.

"You low-life," Amelia said with venom, "knowing Michael's obsession with me, you went through all this trouble to imitate me, hoping to replace me, didn't you?"

I raised my gaze and looked at Amelia calmly, my voice tinged with resignation. "This isn't your place. Michael isn't here, so you should leave before things escalate."

Amelia sneered, flicking her hair dismissively.

"Michael is my man. There's no place of his that's off-limits to me.

You're just afraid that I will expose your little scheme and leave you with nothing."

As she spoke, Amelia yanked my hair roughly, making me wince in pain.
