I stand at the office door, glancing at Doris sitting quietly in the corner, drawing. Seeing she is alright, I sigh in relief.

Out of the corner of my eye, I catch a glimpse of a little boy who is throwing a tantrum. When he sees me, his eyes light up, and he runs toward me with his little

short legs.

"Mommy!"

I bend down to catch him, but instead of hugging him, I gently push him away.

"Hey, you've got the wrong person." I smile slightly, lifting my gaze to meet the man in the room, "Hello, sir, I'm Doris Wilson's mom."

I never expect to run into Charles again.
