Stella didn’t linger and turned to leave soon after.

Kevin watched his mother’s refreating figure, lost in thoughts.

“Kevin, does your mom hate me and Joyce?” Claire had been anxiously eavesdropping from a corner.

“No one would dare to laugh at her anymore” Kevin comforted her, wrapping his arms around her shoulders.

“I will divorce Stephanie. Just…give me some time,” He whispered reassuringly to Claire.
