That evening, Dominic called to say he wouldn't be home for dinner. He had a dinner engagement-one of those he couldn't say no to.

Bella could hear the voices of Victor and Sean in the background. If Dominic was dining with the father-son duo, it made sense that he couldn't turn it down.
