Selena could sense how tense and anxious Pierre felt the whole afternoon after Joaquin told her to bring him for a body checkup, and she knew that Pierre was just trying to conceal his worries. "You've done so much for me, Pierre. You know that I would never leave you alone, right?" Tears welled up in her eyes as she spoke. Her heart ached whenever she thought about what the inspectors had said to her earlier. Pierre's identity wouldn't have been exposed if it weren't for my ignorance.
