Chapter 7

(Angel's POV)

I refused to back down. "No. I'm not leaving, until you do something! He's bleeding everywhere!"

Dr. Nixon sighed and flicked her wrists at the medics standing at the door. "Please, take this young lady outside. She's being hysterical."

The medics approached me, their faces stern and unfriendly. One of them grabbed my arm roughly and said, "Time to go, sweetheart. You're not helping."

I tried to shake him off, but he held tight. "Let me go! I need to be with my brother!"

The other medic sneered at me. "You mean step... right? I'm sorry you don't get to stay. Now, come on."

They dragged me out of the ward, as I screamed, then the door closed behind me.

As they brought me outside, I struggled against them, but they held me firm. "Let me go! I need to know what's happening to him!"

One of the medics rolled his eyes, and they both dumped me on the floor. "You'll find out about your 'brother' when the doctor decides to tell you. Now, calm down and stop making a scene."

I stopped fighting, as they went back inside, realizing it was futile. I took a deep breath and tried to compose myself. But I couldn't help but cry.

You think you're entitled to information about Hendrix's treatment?" I scrunched up my brows, wondering where she was going with this. "Of course! Yes, I do. I'm his stepsister, and I care about him. And I don't like the way you're being fishy about this. Something's going on, and I want to know what it is." Miss Stefan's face turned red with anger. "How dare you!" she spat.
