Chapter 15

Angel's POV

I tossed and turned in bed, my mind racing with thoughts of Hendrix and his reckless behavior. I couldn't believe he was still chasing after girls, despite his condition. My anger simmered just below the surface, I frowned as I thought about it. I bit my lip, trying to calm myself down, but my frustration only grew. I threw off my covers and got out of bed, pacing back and forth across the room. My roommates stirred, but I didn't care. I was too angry to sleep.

I moved to the mini fridge in the room and got a glass of water to drink.

I still felt like there was something more though that Hendrix wasn't telling me. But I had mixed feelings now.

Why couldn't Hendrix just be responsible for once?

Why did he have to be so stupid?

As I stood there, my ears peaked up as I heard the sound of a faint cry. At first, I thought it was just my imagination, but then I heard it again - a shrill, piercing sound that sent a chill down my spine.

I stopped pacing and stood still, my ears straining to hear the sound. And then, I heard it again. Someone was moving around. I froze, my heart beating faster.

I could tell it was coming from somewhere down the hall. I took a step forward, my eyes fixed on the door. What was that noise?

I moved carefully to the door, making sure not to wake my roommates. I pressed my ear against it, listening intently. The sound was strange, unlike anything I had ever heard before. It was like someone was crying, but it was too loud, too intense.

I put my hand in my mouth as I listened. What was happening? Where was the noise coming from?
