When Tyler opened his eyes and stared up at the stark white ceiling, it felt as if the last few days were playing on a loop in his mind.

He reached up, massaging his brow, then yanked the IV out of his hand.

Bert rolled his eyes. "What are you up to now?"

"Going home."

Tyler couldn't be bothered to explain. He just got up, headed downstairs, and climbed straight into his car.
