Chapter 91

Bianca’s POV

I stared at the screen, my eyes narrowing as I watched the security footage on my phone. Empty. The warehouse was empty. Christian was gone.

“What the hell?” I hissed under my breath, pacing the room like a caged animal. My mind raced, trying to piece together what went wrong. My fingers tightened around my phone, the sharp sound of my heels clicking against the marble floor filled the air as I paced.

I had paid good money. a lot of money, for this. I wanted her broken, desperate, dead. That woman had no right to be breathing, let alone walk out of that warehouse like nothing happened.

Enrico Ibarked, my voice cutting through the silence of my room. My henchman hurried in, the look on his face cautious, almost afraid. He should be.

“Ma’am” he asked his voice trembling slightly, which only made my rage boil over even more.

“Explain to me how the woman I hired you to get rid of is suddenly out in the world again, I growled, turning my phone to face him, the footage showing the empty chair where Christiana should have been. “What kind of incompetent idiots are you working with

Enrico swallowed hard, his face paling. “I don’t understand. The men were instructed to-”

“Spare me the excuses” I snapped, slamming my phone down on the table. “Do you have any idea what’s at stake here? That woman was supposed to disappear. She’s supposed to be dead by now!”

My chest tightened with fury, my nails digging into the leather of the armrest. Christiana had gotten away. Somehow, that worm of a man, Marco, must have turned on me. He must’ve released her. Why?

“Find him Now” I barked, stepping closer to Enrico, watching him flinch. “And when you do, bring him to me. I want answers, and I want them fast”

“Yes, maam” He stumbled back, turning on his heel to leave.

I slammed the door behind him, my heart pounding in my chest. Marco. He betrayed me. There was no other explanation. He had one job, one- and he had the gall to release her? After all I’d done for him? I could still remember the day I hired him. Desperate. Pathetic Grateful for the opportunity to make some cash.
