After dinner, Father pulled Samson into his office for a private conversation. Something apparently, that was just for them to discuss together.

Things were quiet tonight at the border, but we can't get complacent...the attacks can happen at any time and are arranged to try and catch us off guard. So far they've not been able to breach the borders.

I was on one of the hills that looks down to the pack grounds, more inland than by the coastal cliff tops. I could see everything, even Samson leave the alpha house and start walking towards me in the distance.
