Connor knew right away something was off. At first, he thought Maddie was in some serious trouble. As a friend, he was just there to support her. But it was becoming clear that wasn't it at all.

He grabbed Maddie's arm, his voice urgent. "Chloe's here too, Maddie. Spill the beans. What's really going on?"
