Thankfully, Alpha Benedict ignored her provocation.

I stole a glance at Ryder, whose expression remained impassive. My heart quickened

involuntarily, wondering why he'd mentioned these things to his Alpha.

"Yes, sir. I like keeping busy. I honestly wouldn't know what to do with myself if I had too

much free time," I offered him a polite smile.

"I can think of a few things you could be doing..." Martha muttered under her breath.

Everyone continued to ignore her, and I inwardly smirked. The woman was insufferable,
