“Phew… Joycelyn took a deep breath, standing upright on the polium. Her hands, trembling on the lectern, clenched into tight fists.

Just as she was about to speak, her uneasy heart beat faster and faster, making her feel that the only sound echoing in her mind was her own rapid breathing.

She tried her best to calm herself down and retracted her gaze from the distance. She then directed her gaze on the face of the man in the first row with his long legs crossed.

The moment Ellison saw Joycelyn step out, his deep–set brows suddenly furrowed. He immediately said to William, who was beside him, in a serious voice, “Go check what’s going on.”

William immediately got up and headed backstage.

As if sensing Joycelyn’s panic and uneasiness, Ellison clapped again.

He sat in the audience and stared at her with eyes that were deep and calm. He looked at her without blinking, his gaze penetrating and filled with both affection and encouragement.

Joycelyn was encouraged inwardly. She smiled and began to introduce herself.
