“I was kinda ticked off at him. I hadn’t spoken to him for a month, and then one afternoon, after class, there he was, waiting for me outside the building. When he saw me, he asked if I wanted him to ‘take responsibility’ that evening. I played it cool and said no. He got all serious and said it would be his ‘first time.’ I couldn’t help it; I burst out laughing. ‘What, you think being a virgin is something to be proud of?’ I asked him. He just kept staring at me, and I couldn’t take those puppy dog eyes anymore. I ran over, wrapped my arms around him, and kissed him right there in front of everyone. From that moment on, we were an item, and we’ve been together all these years. After he graduated, he took over the family business. There were plenty of gorgeous actresses in the company, and women throwing themselves at him left and right—some for his status, others for his looks. But he told me once he’d been tackled, it was for life. This year he’s thirty, and I’m twenty-seven, and we’re finally getting hitched!”

Magdalen’s eyes sparkled as she looked at Estelle, “Eleven years we’ve known each other, never had eyes for anyone else. Like I told you, from the moment we met, I knew he was ‘the one.'”

Estelle had known Magdalen since the days she was with Morrison, and over the years, she had witnessed the struggles and the deep bond between them. Now, hearing the story of how they met, she understood the playful love and affection they shared.

Perhaps, the way those women chased after Morrison, and how Magdalen would step in, was their own little understanding and source of amusement!

Touched, Estelle smiled warmly, “Entering marriage is just the start of another journey. Cherishing each other from beginning to end is the most beautiful fairy tale in love.”

Magdalen reached out and took Estelle’s hand, “We’ve witnessed each other’s love stories, and now we’ll witness each other’s marriages and watch our children grow. I’ll be waiting for you at the altar, and you and Jonathan better hurry up and catch up!”

Estelle laughed, “We will!”
