Sabina couldn’t help but notice Jonathan and Estelle joined at the hip at the party. Seeing this, she felt the rumor mill in her head started churning. Were they about to go public with their relationship?

A flutter of panic seized her heart. Time was running out if she wanted to make a move.

But with her pride, there was no way she could bring herself to flirt with a man like Estelle did!

With that thought, she found her disdain for Estelle only grew stronger.

At the end of the evening, Grandpa Jarvis handed Magdalen a hefty cash gift, the kind that made your eyebrows rise. As he prepared to leave, he gave her a warm and knowing look. “Getting married means you’re all grown up now. No more tantrums or flying off the handle. You take good care of Morrison, hear it?”

Magdalen hugged him gently, with her eyes shimmering. “Grandpa, thank you for coming today. I promise to keep your word in mind.”

“There’s a good girl.” He patted her shoulder with a smile. “I’ll see myself out. No need to walk me to the door.”

With her eyes moist, Magdalen waved her hand and said, “Goodbye Grandpa!”

As Grandpa Jarvis’s car pulled away, Jonathan and Estelle made sure he was settled in comfortably. “Get some rest, Grandpa. Ella and I will come visit you tomorrow!”
