Lambert gave a sly chuckle, “Don’t recognize your savior?”
Evelyn stared at him, her mind blank.
Estelle said, “It’s just a few hours until dawn. Let’s go upstairs and rest. We can talk about everything else
tomorrow.”
Evelyn nodded anxiously, following Estelle upstairs.
Estelle set her up in the room next to her own. “There are pajamas and some clothes in the closet for you to
change into. Make yourself at home.”
Evelyn looked at Estelle gratefully. “Thank you, I really appreciate it. You’ve saved me twice.”

“Don’t mention it. Besides, the person who saved you this time was the guy you saw downstairs.” Estelle
explained.
The girl blinked in surprise, “It was really him who saved me? Was I rude to hime just now?”

still in fear. Estelle smiled softly, “Don’t worry, he won’t mind.” She eyed the girl, “You said you’re from Azeroth City?” “Yes.” The girl nodded.

Evelyn’s eyes dropped, “I’m not their biological child. They adopted me when I was four. But after they had a
son of their own, they kind of stopped paying attention to me.”
Estelle’s eyes twitched slightly, “How old are you now?”
“Twenty-five,” Evelyn replied.
Estelle looked at her thoughtfully, then nodded. “Rest for now. You’re safe here, at least for the moment.”
“Goodnight,” Evelyn murmured, still shivering.
