“Which hospital? I’m on my way.”

Sophia gave him the address, trying to ease his worry, “Don’t panic, I’m much better now. Just drive safely, okay?”

“Alright.”

Sophia hung up, her face lighting up as she turned to Estelle. “Robin’s coming over.”

“That’s good to hear,” Estelle said with a warm smile, though her eyes briefly flicked to Jason outside, feeling a tinge of sadness.

Jason, holding his own jacket, spoke up, “Since Robin’s on his way, I guess it’s my cue to leave.”

He was afraid he might not be able to hold back from punching Robin if he stayed. But seeing how Sophia wasn’t blaming him, even looking forward to his visit, what right did he have to interfere?

Sophia teased, seeing Jason ready to leave, “I know you’re a busy man. Go on. Robin can keep me company. Don’t let us keep you.”

Jason’s face visibly darkened.

Estelle and Jonathan exchanged a knowing look, both feeling a bit sorry for Jason.

Turning to Sophia, Estelle reassured, “I’ll stay and take care of you.”
