Sophia felt wronged. "I just wanted some alone time with you. We haven't seen each other for days, and I was really looking forward to our date. But all evening, we barely spoke a word." Robin disagreed. "We can go on dates anytime, but Diana was my guest tonight. Were we supposed to just ditch her and hang out by ourselves?"

Sophia stared at the man in front of her, suddenly at a loss for words, her heart aching.

The atmosphere in the car turned tense and heavy, neither of them speaking, only the neon lights outside flickering in the darkness, casting shadows and a dull gloom.

After a moment, Robin broke the silence. "You mentioned you had something to tell me, what is it?"

Sophia had wanted to talk about spending the holidays together, but she no longer felt in the mood. She simply asked, "When do you have time off?"

Robin replied indifferently, "Is that what you wanted to talk about? That's something we could've discussed over the phone. Why make it sound so serious?" Sophia frowned at him. "So, unless there's something important, we can't see each other? Am I keeping you from working with Diana?"
