Maggie froze for a moment, then burst out, "I can't believe this!"

She was livid. Striding over, she kicked Susie right in the face. "Picking on a kid not even three years old, are you even human?"

Susie, already in pain from a kick to the back by Estelle, was lying on the ground unable to get up. With Maggie's kick, she almost passed out from the pain. Estelle scooped Kya into her arms, her voice cold and firm, "Take it outside. Don't let Kya see this!"

Maggie turned to look at Kya, her face turning blue with anger. "I'll handle it. Emily's looking for Kya. Take her back, and leave the rest to me!"

Estelle nodded and carried Kya away.

Maggie called over a couple of gardeners from the yard, had them drag Susie out through the side door, and dump her on the ground outside.

Susie, leaning against a nearby tree to get up, panicked. "Maggie, what are you doing?"

Maggie slapped her across the face. "That kid, the little princess of the James family, mine and Estelle's goddaughter. You dare to bully her, and you ask what I'm going to do?"

Susie was stunned.

Maggie then kicked her in the stomach, sending Susie staggering a few steps back, awkwardly falling to the ground.

Still not satisfied, Maggie noticed a patch of roses nearby. She grabbed Susie by the hair, dragged her over, and pressed the woman's face directly into the roses.
