Chapter 2548

Following his lead, Sylvia joined in, waving her hands and singing along with the others. For the first time in a long while, she felt herself truly relax-inside and out. The voices around her grew louder and more spirited; she watched as a rare, genuine smile appeared on Amy's face, and as each young, carefree expression lit up the room. A surge of emotion washed over her, something she couldn't quite put into words.

Eugene squeezed her hand gently and chuckled. "See? Not as hard as you thought, right?"

Sylvia turned to look at him, the shifting lights reflected in her eyes like colorful ripples on water.

He went on, his voice soft, "Starting over isn't so impossible. If you want to, I'll be right here no matter what."

Her gaze flickered, and she instinctively tried to pull her hand away, but Eugene only held it tighter.

The singing continued, cheerful and easy, punctuated by laughter that filled the entire space. For a moment, it felt as though everyone's spirit was set free-no more holding back, no more uncertainty, no more sadness. With music in the air, it was as if nothing else mattered.

...

It was late by the time the group finally called it a night. Outside the door of 9th Mansion, everyone exchanged goodbyes before heading their separate ways.

In the end, only Sylvia and Eugene remained.

Eugene broke the silence. "The day after tomorrow is the grand opening for HaSen's branch office. You're going, right?"

Sylvia nodded. "I got the invitation!"
