Chapter 1399 Boyfriend Cooked for Me

Marcellus felt a heavy blow to his confidence; he couldn't stand looking at the fried egg he had made. Without a second thought, he walked over to the trash can and dumped the failed egg, leaving no trace of its existence.

"I can't believe it..." He rinsed the pan with clean water and returned to the stove, determined to try frying the egg again.

This time, the flame was smaller and yet he still didn't use any oil. While the egg didn't burn, the yolk was everywhere, causing the final product to look more like a scrambled egg rather than a fried one.

He picked up a small piece and gave it a taste. Despite its appearance, it tasted decent, a vast improvement from the chocolate-colored egg earlier.

After toasting a slice of bread, Marcellus meticulously spread some jam on it and placed the egg on top. He also lightly fried some tomatoes and arranged them neatly on the toast.

Looking at the perfectly square Marcellus-style sandwich on his plate, he couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment.

Glancing at the empty white porcelain plate, he felt something was missing. After some thought, he picked up the jar of jam and drew a heart on the empty space.
