Chapter 500 Hurt the People Closest to Her
Derek said proudly, “I forgot to tell you that your meddlesome assistant is now in our hands.”
Hearing his words, Charlotte stopped walking completely. Beside her, Joe and Mandy both looked at her strangely.
Charlotte didn’t have time to explain to them and asked Derek sternly, “My assistant? How could he be in your hands?”
Seeing that Charlotte was still unwilling to admit it, Derek simply sent her a video.

Derek pretended to be serious and said, “I didn’t expect that you would care so much about an assistant. No wonder he
was willing to risk his life to investigate us for you…”
Hearing his words, her heart sank.
She had never told anyone that Sharon was secretly investigating Brian and Derek. How could Derek know so much?
“Don’t talk nonsense. Just tell me what you want.” Charlotte interrupted him impatiently. “Our time is very precious. There
is no need to waste it on such a meaningless thing.”
At this point, Derek no longer hid anything. He chuckled and said, “I remember that your assistant has been by your side
for many years. I wonder if he’s worth 500 million dollars.”

Charlotte sneered. “It seems that Brian doesn’t treat you well either. He actually let you fall to the point of making money
by kidnapping.”
“There’s another condition. You must send the money over personally,” Derek added.
“That’s impossible.” Charlotte immediately refused. “Why do you think I would put myself in danger for an assistant?”
Derek smiled sarcastically and said, “It doesn’t matter. You can think about it. It’s just that one more day means one less
part for him. It’s no big deal.”
Without waiting for her reply, Derek hung up the phone.
Charlotte pursed her lips tightly and saved the recording. She looked up at Mandy and Joe and told them the contents of
the phone call.
